adhesive for the paper industry Product description: • COLLABOND 8017 IQ is a cold water soluble corn starch with reduced surface tension. • Chemical base: corn starch • Solubility: soluble in cold water • Appearance: white to slightly yellowish powder • Odour: specific Applications: • COLLABOND 8017 IQ was especially developed for the gluing of paper bags on high-speed engines. The product is characterized by the good adhesiveness and short-structured performance. This short-structured performance assures a low-splatter application of glue. • COLLABOND 8017 IQ can be used in a ratio of 1 : 5 (starch : water). The fine-grained starch granules get completely dissolved. Depending on type and speed of the agitator the glue needs 45 – 60 min to be ready for use. COLLABOND 8017 IQ shows thixotropic behaviour during storage. For better flow ability the glue should be agitated slowly during storage.
